    *Online reservations made in advance are recommended. Equipment can not be guaranteed for walk-ups or for same day reservations.

    *All multi – boat (2+) reservations must be made in advanced. No walk-ups or same day requests will be taken at this time.*

    Steps to Make a Reservation

     The Adventure staff will call to confirm your order. We are only able to take card payments as of now.

    Reminders!

    Your rental is not complete and equipment will not be held until you receive a confirmation email. Please review our hours of operation and allow time for us to prepare your rentals.

    Membership Types

    Membership Types
    Type:
    Member This membership applies to any person who has an active membership to Recreation Services. This includes any students, faculty, staff, or affiliates who have paid the Student Activities Fee/Recreation Fee.
    Non-Member This membership applies to any person who is affiliated with ISU but has not been assessed the Student Activity Fee/ Recreation Fee.
    Community Member This classification is for persons who are not affiliated with ISU.

    Rental Periods

    Staff will call the renter to schedule gear pick-ups and a reminder email will be sent out on the date of return.

    Please refer to our Equipment Rental Brochure for all available rental equipment and it's current listed prices per day. 

    Policies, Procedures & Refunds

    • For rental questions, call the Adventure Program front desk during office hours at 515-294-2929. For questions outside of office hours, please email isuorp@gmail.com.
    • All gear will have been cleaned and ready for customer picked up.
    • Gear will be distributed outside of the garage when possible (smaller gear in a blue bin) or can be picked up at front desk for smaller singular items.
    • Larger gear such as canoes and kayaks will primarily be loaded by renters with assistance from Adventure staff.
    • Upon return, renters are responsible for basic cleaning of all the returned gear. Staff will have cleaning station set up and will aid in washing boats, however patron is required to stay and assist or be assessed the cleaning fee at check-out.
    • Cleaning procedure by ORP staff will be done with the Victory machine and equipment will be left set-up or hanging overnight.
    • Each set of gear returned will be isolated from other gear while sitting overnight.
    • Limits may be placed on the number of pieces of equipment rented and the length of time out, so equipment is available for as many participants as possible. Only staff on duty will be permitted in the Adventure Office or Garage as a rule. Exceptions will be authorized by Adventure professional staff only.
    • To receive a refund, the renter must cancel their reservation at least 48 hours in advance of the pick- up date (Date Out). No refunds will be given for cancellations that occur less than 48 hours before the pick-up date
