The Adventure Program offers a variety of bold activities and services for those wanting to try new things, explore new places, and build their knowledge. Whether you go on a trip or workshop, climb the top rope or bouldering walls, utilize our equipment for rent, or need a bike repair, you have the ability to make it your own. After all, it is Your Rec, Your Adventure.

Climbing Walls
Recreation Services at Iowa State University has climbing walls at State Gym and Lied Rec Center. Top Rope wall is open when staff is there to supervise while Bouldering walls open anytime facilities are open.
Trips and Workshops
- Adventure Program workshops: beginner and intermediate level.
- Rock climbing workshops on multiple dates. Learn something new regardless of interest or skill level.
- Participants must be 18+ or registered ISU students (under 18).
Equipment Rental
- ISU Rec Services Adventure Program offers equipment rental to students, non-students, and community members.
- There is a wide variety from yard games to canoes, skis, camping gear, and even baseball gloves. Check out what other equipment you can rent from the rental office located in State Gym.
Bike Maintenance
If you're in need of a break adjustment, quick tune, or are wanting a safety inspection on your bike, the Adventure program at Rec Services offers this and many more services. Book an appointment and bring your bike in today so you can get back to your adventure!
Women* Climb Nights
